The blessing of the LORD
I got a weird email today... no idea who Gertrude@bluesteel.com is, but she apparently sent it to me, with the subject line: "Discount health titles delivered anywhere - with discounts!" ... I personally don't quite see the correlation between subject and content - make of it what you will:
The lips of the righteous feed many but fools die for want of wisdom.
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
It is as sport to a fool to do mischief but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.

MiddleEastWindow.com is looking for documentary filmmakers to help create short films (5 to 15 minutes) for publication in an online magazine.
We are looking for creative, self motivated individuals with experience with filmmaking, editing, photography, and journalism/interviews. This is a good opportunity for aspiring filmmakers to gain some "hands-on" experience.
Applicants should have at least some understanding of the peoples, culture and history of the Middle Eastern region, as well as the Arab-American community in the United States.
We are interested in collecting short documentary films and video interviews on a variety of subjects:
1) The history of a specific country (for example, Syria) or a specific people group in the Middle East (for example, Kurds).
2) Interviews with Islamic, Christian and Jewish religious leaders about interfaith dialogue and the Abrahamic faiths.
3) Interviews with Middle East peace activists in the United States (directors of peace organizations, etc.)
4) Films shot on-location (in the Middle East) covering a variety of topics or interviewing ordinary people in the Middle East in a humanizing, thoughtful way.
5) Short films on Middle Eastern Christians (hightlighting a specific denomination, for example, like the Coptic Church or the Maronites).
We can help you determine an appropriate topic for your film(s). We also have extensive contacts with organizations thoughout the United States and can help you set up interviews and connect with relevant organizations for research, etc. We can also help edit the film once filming is complete.
